Aisha Jamila is an American actress best known for her roles in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. Her range of talents has been proven through TV shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7 and Under the Dome since she first made an appearance acting in 2003. First noticed in 2005 for the character of Anna, as seen in Assault on Precinct 13 The first time she was recognized was for her part in the biographical 2005 documentary All the Way. Hind's portrayal as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's time-based drama Underground was likewise highly praised. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television have renewed the show's third season.
