Alison Doody
Alison Doody is an Irish actor and model. Born on 11th November, 1966. Doody made her acting debut in a Bond film, A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989, she played Nazi-sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. There were also roles for Siobhan Dovan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Photographer approached Doody Doody began to model, which turned into a career in commercial modelling. Doody was averse to glamour and nude modeling, which she carried over to her acting. In 1985, after being noticed by the directors of casting for an upcoming James Bond new film, Doody was cast in a minor portion of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody played an unseen role as the wife of Archibald Craven Lilias as she appeared in his dream, 1987's adaptation to The Secret Garden. The episode of the Storyteller Sapsorrow was her first lead role. It took place in 1988 with Dawn French, John Hurt and Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking perhaps her most well-known role ever as Austrian Nazi-sympathiser and archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade playing opposite Harrison Ford. Doody has worked with three James Bond actors. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was an inspiration for the book fraud called the Hitler Diaries. Doody then relocated to Hollywood. She took over Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson's part. Then she played Flannery Sheen's girlfriend and his agent alongside Charlie Sheen, as Major League II came out in 1994. Doody was part of The 2004 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony to receive an award. Her roles included a TV movie version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 as well as a booklet on the Holocaust, and a short film called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody appeared as a character in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Doody was later a guest on the medical drama of RTE The Clinic and was set to be the lead actress in a remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx but the project was later put on hold. Pam Jefferson, the character she played on E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season that ran for two years. In 2014, she appeared on We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). In November of 2018, she was awarded by the Almeria the tierra de cine prize and was awarded an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
